Ce n’est pas la fête en Argentine

Le décompte du Bicentenaire de l’Argentine vient de commencer. En 2010, les Argentins célébreront deux siècles de vie souveraine et le gouvernement ne manquera surtout pas de le souligner. Malgré les avatars de ce pays aux rêves immenses et aux malheurs abyssaux, j’ai pu noter que l’orgueil national se porte bien, du moins en apparence.

¡Hola Canadá! Spanish Is Third Most Spoken Language

There has been an important growth of second language Spanish speakers in Canada. While it remains well behind English and French, in 2006 Spanish has became the third most widely spoken language in Canada and has now earned the title of Canada’s most important non-official language. It is worth noting that, appropriately, Chinese is not considered one language and the census lists Mandarin and Cantonese separately.
